Windows SBS 2008 clients recieving 1030 and 1058 erros in application log

We were working on a Windows SBS server 2008 network.  The client was having frequent disconnects and network interruptions.  On desktop client computers we noted errors 1030 and 1058 (See Below) were logged in the application log.

Error 1030 source userenv:

Windows cannot query for the list of Group Policy objects. A message that describes the reason for this was previously logged by the policy engine.

Error 1058 source userenv:

Windows cannot access the file gpt.ini for GPO CN={31B2F340-016D-11D2-945F-00C04FB984F9},CN=Policies,CN=System,DC=servername, DC=local. The file must be present at the location <\\servername.local\sysvol\servername.local\Polici es\{31B2F340-016D-11D2-945F-00C04FB984F9}\gpt.ini>. (Access is denied. ). Group Policy processing aborted.

In this case the solution turned out to be the dual network card that was causing the issue, essentially the server was receiving the network request on one, and replying on another.  Both cards had separate static IP addresses and one adapter had been configured for Hyper-v and initially the virtual servers were placed on the second NIC.

Later after some research on a different problem I discovered this article about dual nic support.
